DATA MANAGEMENT FOR BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE REPORTING

A global fast food brand has over 700 stores in the Philippines and needed to consolidate its POS data to ensure robust reporting and analysis. This meant ingestion of big volume data.

The customer asked Solvento to create data layers to support requirements for business intelligence reporting using on-premise solution of Microsoft SQL Server. This later on expanded to other projects to support: additional source systems covering back office applications, such as SAP and to prepare data for downstream applications that use the data for vendor portal and branch portal.

  • Support analytics team.

Our proven success has allowed us to remain with the client over the years. Working on various projects including migration from on-premise to cloud, across various source data types (database, xml, cloud-databases), and SSIS to Qlik Talend.

MANAGING SERVICES FOR ORACLE DATABASES

A municipality office in Metro Manila is among the largest local government units in the Philippines, collecting AU $600M in taxes in 2024.

The customer has two 2-node Oracle RAC database servers with many databases used as the back end of the city’s various critical services. The incumbent database managed service provider was perceived to be mostly absent in providing the necessary maintenance of the databases. This could lead to serious risk as potential downtimes would have severely affected delivery of critical government services.

Solvento’s deep understanding of Oracle database technology and solid working relationships with Oracle helped the customer avoid this risk as we were able to fix unresolved issues of the previous services provider. We were also able to stabilise the Database by conducting regular database health checks.

Consistency of service delivery has also led to a renewal of our the service with the customer.
